How this list is put together. Each point combines, depending on the case, asking the owner, who is the source of the background information and documentation, cross-checking with the community, the administrator or the neighbours when the matter affects the building or the surrounding area, consulting the competent authority (town hall, confederación hidrográfica, regional registry) without assuming that the response will be quick, requesting a technical or documentary review when there is economic or legal impact, and confirming coverage with the insurance company for risks that may affect the policy. The amounts are indicative orders of magnitude from the market, not quotes.

Methodology and sources

Each check cross-references one or more official public sources, georeferenced to the point or the plot.
